  • Joseph Pilates created his fitness regime to strengthen, tone, and align the entire body from the inside out. An exclusive discipline once known only to professional dancers and elite athletes, Pilates is now one of the world's fastest-growing exercise methods. Pilates mat work rebuilds core strength, toning the innermost layers of the abdominal wall, pelvic floor, and deep stabilising muscles nearest to the spine.

Continued practice results in improved posture and spatial awareness, amazing balance, and a much longer, leaner torso.

Joseph Pilates is famous for saying: “After 10 sessions, you'll feel the difference; after 20, you'll see the difference, and after 30 sessions, you'll have an entirely new body.

  • Strong, creative, and dynamic. This class is designed to help you build power and strength as you explore a range of poses and experiment with fun and inspiring transitions. It will include prāṇāyāma, mantra, āsana, and meditation.

Please note that this class is not suitable for complete beginners or those new to yoga. We recommend enjoying a few Yoga classes before trying a Vinyasa class.

  • Yin Yoga is a slower style that focuses on the body's "yin" elements, such as connective tissue, ligaments, and joints. During this practice, traditional poses are held for longer periods, typically 4-6 minutes, to apply healthy stress and promote deep release. This type of yoga is beneficial for improving mobility and flexibility.

Energetically, Yin yoga is influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine, as it works with the body's meridians to support a healthy flow of Chi energy.

Please note that this class is not suitable for pregnant individuals.

    Beginners welcome.

  • Looking to relax and destress after a busy week? Join us on Friday and Sunday evenings for a 90-minute practice that combines Vinyasa and Yin styles. This class aims to help you release tension and feel more centered. All levels are welcome to join.

  • This pacy, dynamic Vinyasa has a set framework of Asanas that will make you sweat and find stillness in the most dynamic poses. It's fun and playful, encouraging you to push your capabilities with options for challenge or rest. It’s a great way to begin exploring balancing on heads, arms, or hands!

Larry Schultz, the creator of The Rocket yoga class, was one of the most inspirational teachers of his time. He had trained in classical Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga under Pattabhi Jois but became frustrated when he was not allowed to move on to the Second Series and practice poses other than the Primary Series. Larry broke away from the ordered system but took many of its elements with him in his practice, which became one of the main roots of Power Yoga.

The name "Rocket" comes from one of the guitar players from The Grateful Dead, Bob Wier. Larry was touring with the band and teaching them yoga classes. After one class, Bob asked Larry what the name of the sequence was, saying it was great. Larry didn't have a name for it, but Wier suggested he call it "The Rocket!" When Larry asked why, Wier said, "because it gets you there faster!!" And it stuck instantly. Larry joked he never knew where "there" was, but he would get there faster anyway.

As you practice it, remember to honor your body's limits and trust yourself to move appropriately for your body on any given day. Although it may get you there faster, make sure 'there' is not an injury but an undefinable destination of self-love and honouring your practice.

  • ”Vinyāsa” in Sanskrit means to place in a special way (vi + nyasa)

It is an intelligent step-by-step progression of a sequence of actions. It means progression, custom, method, cause, and strength. These practices will include asana, pranayama, bandha, and mudras and require consideration of the gunas, the doshas, pranic effects in poses, etc.

It is not recommended for beginners or pregnant individuals to attend this class. We suggest trying out our Yoga classes to determine your skill level before attempting these classes.

  • Yin is a much slower style of Yoga that works physically with the ‘yin’ elements of the body, such as connective tissue, ligaments and joints. We hold traditional poses for longer, sometimes 4-6mins to place healthy stress and encourage deep release. Great for aiding more mobility and flexibility.

Energetically, Yin is influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine, working with the meridians to encourage a healthy flow of Chi.

  • Rocket Yoga is dynamic and energetic. The practice that combines a set framework of Asanas to make you sweat and find stillness in dynamic poses. It's a fun and playful practice that encourages you to challenge yourself or take rest when needed. The goal is to explore balancing on heads, arms, or hands.

Rocket Yoga was created by Larry Schultz, a highly inspirational teacher, in San Francisco in the 80's. Larry trained in classical Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga but was frustrated when he couldn't move on to the Second Series and practice other poses. With Larry's rebellious spirit, he broke away from the traditional system but incorporated many of its elements into his practice, which became a foundation for Power Yoga.

The name "Rocket" originated from a suggestion by one of the guitar players from The Grateful Dead, Bob Weir. Larry was teaching yoga to the band, and after a class, Bob asked for the name of the sequence. Larry didn't have one, so Bob suggested calling it "The Rocket" because it gets you there faster. Larry embraced the name, even though he didn't know exactly where "there" was.

While it may help you progress quickly, it's important to listen to your body and respect your limits. Avoid pushing yourself to the point of injury and instead focus on self-love and honoring your practice as you journey towards your own unique destination.
