Our Story
From Movement to Stillness
Founder Rachael Gilmour established Reset Yoga and Pilates Studio in 2021 in the heart of Glasgow with a vision to provide a space where the community can explore their inner galleries through movement and stillness. By curating meaningful moments and practices, we aim to connect deeper and more authentically to ourselves.
Reset encompasses a less-than-more approach with a modern edge and quiet refinement. After years of dedication, heart, and grit, we have grown to over 20+ facilitators who are the lifeblood of the studio.
Together, they uphold our ethos: to embody, practice, and guide students as they explore their own truth while honouring the sacred roots of Yoga.

With Yoga at the heart of our practice, we intertwine various traditions and styles with our teachers' unique approaches to create a more comprehensive experience. We wholeheartedly encourage our teachers to explore, inspire, and share their personalities and experiences through the practice of Yoga.
We highly recommend reading their bios to discover the specific styles and approaches they offer. You can find their bios and learn about their unique styles at https://www.resetyogahub.com/teachers-bios.
These slower-paced classes are suitable for all levels and are an ideal starting point for those new to Yoga.

Strong, creative, and dynamic. This class is designed to help you build power and strength as you explore a range of poses and experiment with fun and inspiring transitions. It will include prāṇāyāma, mantra, āsana, and meditation.
Please note that this class is not suitable for complete beginners or those new to yoga. We recommend enjoying a few Yoga classes before trying a Vinyasa class.

Restorative Yoga is defined as conscious relaxation and offers us the unique opportunity to purposefully and deeply rest.
Our Candlelit Rest practices will use props like blankets, blocks, bolsters and sandbags to create spaces of ease and comfort.
When overstimulated, overwhelmed, drained or chronically aching, our nervous system takes a beating and our immune system struggles. Restorative yoga helps the body connect with its natural system of healing - the relaxation response. In the relaxation response, the body can experience healing and restoration from the accumulation of life's stressors.
Welcome to the practice where we lie down and give up (in the most perfect way).

Yin Yoga is a slower style that focuses on the body's "yin" elements, such as connective tissue, ligaments, and joints. During this practice, traditional poses are held for longer periods, typically 4-6 minutes, to apply healthy stress and promote deep release. This type of yoga is beneficial for improving mobility and flexibility.
Energetically, Yin yoga is influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine, as it works with the body's meridians to support a healthy flow of Chi energy.
Please note that this class is not suitable for pregnant individuals.
Beginners welcome.

This pacy, dynamic Vinyasa has a set framework of Asanas that will make you sweat and find stillness in the most dynamic poses. It's fun and playful, encouraging you to push your capabilities with options for challenge or rest. It’s a great way to begin exploring balancing on heads, arms, or hands!
Larry Schultz, the creator of The Rocket yoga class, was one of the most inspirational teachers of his time. He had trained in classical Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga under Pattabhi Jois but became frustrated when he was not allowed to move on to the Second Series and practice poses other than the Primary Series. Larry broke away from the ordered system but took many of its elements with him in his practice, which became one of the main roots of Power Yoga.
The name "Rocket" comes from one of the guitar players from The Grateful Dead, Bob Wier. Larry was touring with the band and teaching them yoga classes. After one class, Bob asked Larry what the name of the sequence was, saying it was great. Larry didn't have a name for it, but Wier suggested he call it "The Rocket!" When Larry asked why, Wier said, "because it gets you there faster!!" And it stuck instantly. Larry joked he never knew where "there" was, but he would get there faster anyway.
As you practice it, remember to honor your body's limits and trust yourself to move appropriately for your body on any given day. Although it may get you there faster, make sure 'there' is not an injury but an undefinable destination of self-love and honouring your practice.

Joseph Pilates created his fitness regime to strengthen, tone, and align the entire body from the inside out. An exclusive discipline once known only to professional dancers and elite athletes, Pilates is now one of the world's fastest-growing exercise methods. Pilates mat work rebuilds core strength, toning the innermost layers of the abdominal wall, pelvic floor, and deep stabilising muscles nearest to the spine.
Continued practice results in improved posture and spatial awareness, amazing balance, and a much longer, leaner torso.
Joseph Pilates is famous for saying: “After 10 sessions, you'll feel the difference; after 20, you'll see the difference, and after 30 sessions, you'll have an entirely new body.
